  • There's a bunch that I love but for some reason this immediately came to mind.

The first song that popped in my head was actually the love theme from that movie. I loved both of them so much!!

The score from Dancing With Wolves.  Very haunting melody.

  • I was a band geek in high school and my freshman year the marching band did a full show of music from Dances With Wolves.  It is an amazing soundtrack. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 15, 2021 9:26 PM MDT

Honestly, it is the ONLY soundtrack I can recall from any movie I've ever seen.

EDIT:  Let me retract that - the other soundtrack is the one from Platoon.  Barber's Adagio for Strings is one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces I've ever heard.  The first time I heard it, it was played at the funeral of Grace Kelly.  Even today, I get goosebumps when I listen to it. Working in a movie theater, I heard this song three times a night, four nights a week for months as well as several times a day on the radio and never got tired of it.

Too many to choose from to narrow it down to just one as a favorite.
Here are some of my top contenders.

From the movie of the same name, “To Sir With Love” by Lulu, 1967.

From the movie “Mahogany”, ”Do You Know Where You’re Going To?” by Diana Ross, 1975.

From the movie “Woman In Red”, ”I Just Called To Say I Love You” by Stevie Wonder, 1984.

From the movie of the same name, “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker, Jr. and Raydio, 1984.

Every one of them - - -  if I'm flipping stations on the radio and they come on, I listen until the very ending ;)

That was going to be my answer because it's the one I've liked for the longest time -- I heard it first as a young child!

Yet, I don't believe Percy Faith's version is what we hear in the movie since Max Steiner wrote the music score but it's still so sweet in the movie, too. I really like what Percy Faith did with the theme!

I actually never saw the movie.  I too first heard it as a young child, and for some reason it resonated with me.

Have to stop for the night but I will be back -- I have lots to say, ha!

Long story, short  -- I've been collecting original movie scores for most of my life. I have literally hundreds of film music score recordings. :)

I love your question and enjoyed everyone's input. I like your choice, too.

Is that an intentional pun, or is it supposed to be “Pandora’s”?

Intentional, of course. It might make for a fun question.
